    D1 Management and Gulf Medical University Sign MoU to Advance Veterinary Education, Clinical Training and Scientific Research

    Abu Dhabi, UAE, Newszy: 5 September 2026: D1 Management L.L.C. and Gulf Medical University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for cooperation in veterinary education, clinical training, scientific research, innovation and professional development.

    The MoU was signed during the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026 by Mtashr Awadh Al Badri, Director of Operations at D1 Management, and Dr. Thumbay Moideen Founder president Thumbay Group, representing Gulf Medical University.

    The agreement brings together Gulf Medical University’s academic capabilities and D1 Management’s specialized clinical, diagnostic and research expertise. It aims to connect academic learning with practical experience, facilitate knowledge exchange and contribute to the development of qualified veterinary professionals.

    Under the MoU, the two parties may collaborate in clinical education and structured practical training, internships and clinical rotations, laboratory and diagnostic training, and multidisciplinary case discussions. The framework also covers continuing professional development programs, guest lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, faculty exchange and academic supervision.

    Additional areas of potential cooperation include collaborative scientific, clinical and laboratory research; student research projects and dissertations; scientific publications; conference participation; innovation initiatives; graduate development; animal welfare programs; and community outreach and public awareness activities.

    Commenting on the agreement, Mtashr Awadh Al Badri, Director of Operations at D1 Management, said: “This collaboration supports our commitment to connecting academic education with specialized clinical, diagnostic and research expertise. By providing students with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals across our entities, we aim to contribute to the development of highly qualified veterinary talent and strengthen the future capabilities of the sector.”

    Dr. Thumbay Moideen Founder president Thumbay Group at Gulf Medical University, said: “This MoU represents an important opportunity to expand practice-based learning and collaborative research. Working with D1 Management and its specialized entities will help enrich our students’ educational experience and support the advancement of veterinary knowledge and professional capabilities.”

    The cooperation may involve D1 Management and its specialized entities: Dubai Natural Care Medical Centre, Dubai Equine Hospital, Zabeel Veterinary Hospital, Dubai Camel Hospital, Central Veterinary Research Laboratory and Molecular Biology & Genomics Centre.

    All programs and initiatives arising from the MoU will be implemented subject to mutual agreement, operational capacity, applicable regulatory approvals and the relevant policies of both parties. The MoU will remain in effect for two years.
